Kat's Butterfly Bag - Mum's Swap Goodies

The lovely Kaz organised a swap especially for some of us Brisbane Mums (or those of us a few hours out of Brissie in my case *lol*). I was lucky enough to receive a truley scrummy set of home-made curries from Bek, packaged in 1-2 serve portions, who read my questionare and picked up on how much I love meals I don't have to cook myself!

The little-y doesn't really like spicey food, so I got them all to myself. I felt really pampered having food cooked for me, what a great idea.

My recepient was Kat (Oscars Mama), who only gave me 2 lines of email as clues to what she likes - tricky!!!

I decided to go with something handmade (the bag) and filled it with something I know she likes - a Mama pampering in a box - aka. a box of nice choclates. *lol*

Butterfly bag was made of 100% cotton woven with a butterfly print, the top few inches are lemon gingham check and the inside is fully lined in a matching pink.

Adorning the join was a butterfly, created by a butterfly fabric cut out and another layer of hot pink cotton stitched together and trimmed close to the sew line. I also hand sewed on some matching blue beads to jazz it up. This baby is cute, but definately hand wash only! *lol*

I thought perhaps it would be nice next time to make the butterfly/flower/etc...on a pin that could be taken off the bag (for washing) and that you could also wear on your top or in your hair. Thoughts? Too foofy? :P

The inside is in a co-ordinating hot pink with a butterfly/lemon gingham pocket for purse/phone.

Hope she likes it! :)
